Guillermo del Toro

Here's an homage to an amazing Mexican artist and filmmaker.

Guillermo del Toro is a huge inspiration to me, as an artist with his original voice, as a representative of the otherness and as a Mexican in the film industry. #PorqueSoyMexicano

I started this personal project back in 2019, however with school and work I wasn't able to continue it at the time. So, last month I decided I wanted to finally finish it and luckily apply some of the stuff I've learnt over the past years.

My intention with this piece was to be able to study likeness through someone famous that most people could recognize right away, while still trying to stick to my endeavor of creating portraits of people that inspire something in me.

Definitely learnt a lot through this project and know there is room to improve more, but will call this piece done and try to keep growing through the next pieces.
